The Master didn't hesitate, he didn't want to play this game and let the Doctor run him around till he was tangled in knots. For once, he wanted to be on top and not just because he had taken over, just because he was more powerful. Smarter, deadlier and far more cunning than this little idiot.

He aimed his wand as he'd been taught, made a slight gesture and said the magic words. "Crucio!"

The nanosecond that curse passed the master's lips, the Doctor recognized it from before. His eyes were wide in realization, but it was too late. He could never be fast enough to dodge it, and his legs buckled at the knees, causing him to drop down on the ground.

His mouth opened in a silent scream as it felt like every millimeter of his body was on fire, overacting and sending signals to every pain receptor in his body. Every organ in his body felt like it was failing and he wanted to claw at his own skin to stop everything.

Tears streaked out of the corners of his eyes, unable to do anything about it. Only wait for it to stop.
